Neutered Men
Written By Sian Alexandra Williams
Our type made spectacle by scopophilic commanders,
Branded soft & tender –
Neutered men inflict no danger
Apparently.
They butcher our rainbow brothers for the threat between their thighs,
And scoff and conceal at our castration,
Because it doesn’t count if there’s no penetration,
But there is penetration.
Sapphic love stolen, shaped into fantasy for lecherous eyes to spill over
Our phallic rejection stirred patriarchal projection
A toxic brew of ignorant fear,
Our intimacy deceptively smeared over screens,
We are a false exhibit, an invisible tribe
Our truth kept secret for our oppressors’ pride.
